A website that talks about the paleolithic diet and other related topics with an emphasis on paleo desserts. Perhaps some of you may be coming to this website as an expert on paleolithic meals/recipes but others may be coming who don’t really know what the diet is or what paleolithic even means! And in that case, it calls for an explanation.
The Paleolithic diet otherwise known as Caveman or Stone age diet is one that is based off what cavemen did many thousands of years ago in eating plants and wild animals. Eating accordingly with how our hairy ancestors used to eat is a good choice!
The Paleo diet contains different types of meal plans and recipes including of course, paleo desserts and sweets. Paleo diets are based off the conception that whatever a caveman ate, you should eat! And whatever a caveman didn’t eat, you might not want to eat because eating that would not be apart of the paleolithic diet!
Caveman Ralph (x# of years ago) who’s job was to go out and hunt animals for the caveman clan goes out and does just that, he hunts down a wooly mammoth by himself. I know one thing, Caveman Ralph is eating Paleolithic style.
Salesman Joe who’s job is to sell cars goes to his local McDonald’s and gets a few cheeseburgers and a coca cola. Do you think Caveman Ralph had access to McDonald’s? I don’t think so.
Caveman Ralph is a prime example of what we should do, take the time to prepare our meals and acknowledge what we are actually ingesting into our bodies.
For so long, humans on planet earth have eaten plants, vegetables, leaves, roots, meat, etc. Many plants, however, are inedible. Certain types of foods such as grains and beans can be wholesome with energy but contain certain toxins.
Do not eat them raw as they can make you very sick. Some odd many years ago, we’ll say several thousands of years ago….we humans in our caveman/paleolithic shape discovered that we can cook foods to make them edible because we understood that heat from the flames of fire destroyed the toxins. Lots of foods entered the food chain for man at that moment in history. Of course, we all know paleo desserts came along a lot later…
Maintaining your paleolithic nutritional diet can seem like a bit of a tedious task at first glance but as you slowly move yourself into the diet (best way I think) – You will start to develop a habit of eating that particular way and feel more comfortable on a daily basis following such a paleo diet.
There are different types of recipes out there for desserts such as Chocolate Avocado Cake, Butter Blueberry Brownies, Coconut Chocolate Cake, and much more. You need to find out what type of desserts are suitable for you depending upon your taste of things.
